The Irish Flag Framed
Celebrate Ireland’s National Identity with the Framed Irish Flag
The Irish Flag, crafted with care and precision, is a timeless tribute to the history and ideals of the tricolour. Created in our family-run factory in Dublin, this framed piece commemorates the vision of Thomas F. Meagher, who first raised the flag at the Wolfe Tone Club in Waterford as a statement of national unity. His iconic words—"The white in the centre signifies a lasting truce between the orange and the green"—encapsulate the hope for harmony between Irish Protestants and Catholics.
This stunning flag is made with heavy woven colours, hand-stitched together to create a durable and authentic representation of Ireland’s national symbol. Encased in a sleek black wooden frame with glass panelling, the framed piece measures 43cm x 53cm, while the flag itself is 19cm x 30cm. The flag is mounted on a robust backing that includes printed details of its historical significance, accompanied by images of Thomas F. Meagher and the statue of Hibernia with the Irish flag. From its proud display during the Easter Rising of 1916 to its adoption as the national flag during the Irish War of Independence, this tricolour embodies Ireland’s enduring spirit and resilience.
Handcrafted in our Dublin workshop, this framed Irish flag is a heartfelt symbol of national pride. Perfect for homes, offices, or cultural spaces, it makes a thoughtful gift for history enthusiasts, proud Irish citizens, or anyone inspired by Ireland’s heritage and values.
