Black & White Flag - Surfing Area

The Surfing Area Black & White Flag is used to clearly designate areas reserved for surfing and board sports. Commonly displayed by lifeguard services, surf clubs, and beach authorities, this flag helps separate surfers from swimmers and supports safe use of the water. Designed for high visibility and durability in coastal environments, it is suitable for beaches, surf zones, and managed water sports areas.

Available in two material options:

Heavy woven dyed polyester (government standard)

• UV resistant and colour fast
• Up to 98% colour show-through on the reverse
• Hand-stitched panels with double hem finish
• Flame retardant, washable, and non-absorbent
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

Digitally printed polyester

• 115 gsm 100% polyester
• High-quality print with up to 95% colour penetration on the reverse
• Double hem finish
• Flame retardant, washable, and non-absorbent
• Suitable for indoor and outdoor use

The most common size is 90 cm × 180 cm (3 ft × 6 ft), suitable for standard flagpoles. Multiple sizes and finishing options are available, including rope, loop & tail, brass rings, and sleeve pockets. Bespoke sizes and finishes can be supplied on request.
